As the wall nears completion, Nehemiah's enemies try to stop him through distraction, intimidation, and false accusations. Nehemiah refuses to be sidetracked, famously declaring, "I am doing a great work and cannot come down." Despite opposition from outside and betrayal from within, the wall is completed in just fifty-two days, causing the surrounding nations to recognize that God was at work.

The enemy often attacks not only through opposition but through distraction. When God has called you to a great work, stay focused and refuse to come down from the assignment He has given you.
