Esther courageously approached the king and unexpectedly found favor in his sight, receiving an invitation to ask for what she wanted. Rather than immediately revealing Haman’s plot, she wisely invited the king and Haman to two banquets, showing patience and discernment. Meanwhile, Haman left proud and confident until seeing Mordecai again filled him with anger and led him to prepare gallows for Mordecai’s execution.
Wisdom is not always loud or rushed; sometimes faith waits for the right moment. Esther 5 reminds us that trusting God includes not only taking action but also resisting the urge to force outcomes before the right time.
